A full-size model of the Huygens Descent Module rests on the snow in Sweden in May 1995 after a successful drop test from high altitude. The Front Shield and Back Cover, which will protect the probe when it enters the atmosphere of Titan, separated correctly. A succession of parachutes then controlled the probe's descent, as they will do on Titan.
