Huygens S-band probe relay test successfully completed
All minor problems encountered in the onboard Huygens receiver configuration and in the test set-up at the Deep Space Network ground station during the first attempt the previous night were corrected and the test went on very smoothly at the second attempt. All test objectives seem to have been met. The data analysis is in progress and a preliminary report will be made available shortly via this website. We have performed a full end-to-end test of the two Huygens radio-receiver chains, including the Orbiter's HGA. This represents an important milestone in the preparation of the Huygens mission in November 2004.
