The CHEOPS team on 18 December 2019 in the Mission Control room during the Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) at the Mission Operations Centre (MOC) at INTA in Torrejón de Ardoz, near Madrid, Spain.

After launch on 18 December, the CHEOPS team at the MOC verified that the spacecraft is in a stable attitude and that the propulsion module, along with all onboard systems and units, are working correctly. Orbit correction manoeuvres were performed and the LEOP was completed successfully on 23 December. The spacecraft will start the in-orbit commissioning phase on 8 January 2020.
