Mission StatusXMM-Newton operations are continuing smoothly, with the spacecraft, instruments and ground segment all performing nominally. Operations are funded until 31 March 2010.

Mission StatusThe spacecraft has completed its third South Polar Pass in April, having reached maximum southern latitude (-79.7° heliographic) on 7 February. The spacecraft subsystems and science instruments remain in good health, with no anomalies during the reporting period.

Report for period 13 May to 19 May 2007The Entry in the Quadrature phase with fake ephemeris has been successful. The temperatures of all subsystems are also within limits. Report for Period 6 May to 12 May 2007With the installation of AOCMS_SW patch 14 and the update of the on-board ephemeris, Venus Express was configured for the quadrature phase. This phase is defined as the period during which the Sun-Spacecraft-Earth angle is between 75° and 95°.

Report for Period 8 April to 14 April 2007During the reporting period the VIRTIS movie observations have taken place. The resulting science data have been received on ground in its entirety via DSN station DSS-63 (Madrid, 70m diameter), with Cebreros serving as backup in shadow-track. No data loss has been reported.
