While SOHO was in Coarse Roll Pointing mode during the weekend of 8-10 January, the Extreme ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) was observing in a mode with higher-than-usual telemetry rate, as the Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) instrument had its doors closed in anticipation of spacecraft manoeuvres on the Monday before returning SOHO to its Normal Mode.
