Be an INTEGRAL astronomer: Task 2
Using the IBIS/ISGRI 18-40 keV data from 2005 to 2009, identify one (or more) period(s) when the sources were all “off” – i.e. when they were not detected.
Indicate how the X-ray emission of these sources compares to that from the Crab. (Hint: compare the average and extreme count rates for the sources – see note at end of Task 1.)
|Source name||Source type||Data|
|1A 1742-294||Neutron star X-ray binary|
|1E 1740.7-2942||Black-hole binary, micro-quasar|
|KS 1741-293||Neutron star X-ray binary transient|
|SLX 1744-299||Neutron star X-ray binary|
