Comet 67P/C-G on 3 August 2014 - NavCam, interpolated image (crop)
This is a crop from the 3 August 2014 processed NAVCAM image of comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, to focus on the comet nucleus. The image was taken from a distance of about 300 km from the comet.
The full-frame NAVCAM image has been processed using an interpolation technique and the resolution has been increased from 1024 × 1024 to 2048 × 2048 pixels, from which this is a 800 × 800 pixels crop.
The Sun is towards the bottom of the image in this orientation.
