Activities resume in Kourou

Final assembly facility, Kourou, French Guiana

In the past few days preparational work has resumed on SMART-1 in anticipation of a launch in the next couple of weeks. Since the Project Team reassembled in Kourou over the previous weekend the following activities have been and will be carried out.

16 September - Readiness review
17 September

- Moving SMART-1 from BAF-HE to Airlock
- SMART-1 mating onto launch vehicle
- Grounding check

18 September - SMART-1 final inspection
19 September

- Final checks
- Moving SMART-1 from BAF to the
  S5 Storage Area
